Round Vase

This round vase, made with Dobles standard stoneware clay, has a Shino glaze on the inside and part o the outside. It was fired in one of the hottest parts of the Anagama kiln where it acquired a good build-up of fly ash, giving some parts an orange peel, lustrous finish. The exterior has some good contrasts in surface textur and colour, from a dry or semi-matt glaze through to smooth, shiny and lustrous effects due to the high temperatures reached in the 48 hour firing.
